Welcome to the Mudu Club

The word Mudu has multiple meanings. It means soft, mild, and tender. It means to be able to do something; to manage and handle something. In Lithuanian, it means "We Are."

All of these meanings encompass the magic of the practice of yoga. It creates space to handle the twists and turns of life with tendernesses. It opens new pathways of thinking and being, interconnecting our thoughts and actions to a collective whole. 

With the Mudu podcast, we are redefining yoga by incorporating brief, 5 minute flows to start or end your day with ease, and further encourage these gentle additions to your day to improve your overall wellbeing. You can practice by listening or follow along with video on YouTube.

A podcast class allows you to learn how to go within. You are your true teacher, and we are here only as a guide. Make each pose your own and move in the way that feels best. You can choose to follow a new 5-minute class each day. or group them to do a longer version of a yoga flow.

Every morning, Monday through Friday, a new episode of the Mudu podcast is released. These flows are 5 minutes in length to start your day with a clear mind. 

About

Mudu is a healthy lifestyle and yoga brand created by Melissa Wertz. Melissa is a 500-hour certified yoga teacher with an extensive career in the corporate world. Since she started practicing in 2009, she has used yoga as a way to stay grounded amidst the chaos, even while living in nonstop cities like DC and NYC. 

She holds a Bachelor's degree from Penn State University and a Master's degree from Georgetown. Although she has marked career accomplishments such as running a company of more than 130 people and winning various sales awards, what she values most is building relationships and connecting with people from all walks of life. 

Her career expertise has always been accompanied by -- and enhanced by -- her passion for travel, new experiences, and health and wellness. She has completed 4 full marathons, visited more than 10 countries, and even backpacked for three months through Indonesia and South East Asia.  

As she rose through the ranks in business, she noticed that the people who often needed movement and yoga the most were not fitting it into their hectic schedules. Her goal is to create a way for people who feel like they are balancing the world on their shoulders to find a few moments of physical and mental balance in their day.

 

With Mudu, she offers 5 minute yoga classes to step into a new frame of mind. Mudu is for everyone, even beginners, who want to reconnect with themselves and clear their mind, to support them through each busy day.
